A book fair, a charismatic athlete, and a young girl's quest to find the other half of her parentage.


Wheels on the Bus written and performed by Matt Whitfield
What could possibly go wrong when a seemingly perfect family decides to move from Southern California to Idaho, in a rusty old school bus.

MINDY PFEFFER* | Writer and Performer, From the Bronx to a Bike
has acted in many new plays in NYC and played 'Ma Joad' and 'Titania' regionally. Her own plays have been produced at numerous venues, including the Coney Island Boardwalk! She's trained with SITI and has a BFA in theatre from Syracuse University. She loves to ride her bike.

CARALIE CHRISCO | Writer and Performer, Are You My Father... Shaquille O'Neal?

is excited to return to Plus 1! Founder of The Artistic Pursuit (www.theartisticpursuit.com): a multi-medium tool, teaching actors practical skills. Former talent manager and freelance casting associate. As a playwright: TIC’s Plus 1, AND Go Solo!, LSU Outworks, and Going to Tahiti. She’s performed at LSU’s Swine Palace and various parks, basements, and living rooms across NYC. 

MATT WHITFIELD | Writer and Performer, The Wheels on the Bus
Raised in both the suburbs of Southern California and the rural Northwest, Matt can't help but bring a chill vibe to all he does. Recent film: God the Worm (feature), Blessed Be and Heat Wave (shorts on the festival circuit). Education: BS, University of Idaho, The Barrow Group in New York. JAKE LIPMAN | Producing Artistic Director
As the founder of Tongue in Cheek Theater Productions (TIC), Jake has produced over 40 productions in NYC since 2006, including this 16th iteration of the Plus 1 Solo Show Festival. She has written and performed several solo shows, including Up a River/Down the Aisle (MITF, SOAF semi-finalist, Smith College), and directed several others, including Untransmittable: Disclosure in a Tinder Age (EAT New Works Series), Ruby (PCTF18, outstanding production nominee),
Two Worlds Collide, Places, Please and How to Behave. MFA, Actors Studio Drama School.

OLIVIA T. RAGAN | Stage Manager and Assistant Producer
is a New York-based director committed to sharing stories that challenge social constructs and expectations. She assistant directed TIC's world premiere of Relentlessly Pleasant, and Recent Tragic Events, spent 6 weeks the summer if 2018 as a Core Company apprentice at the Orchard Project. Directing credits include: The Wise Women by Nelson Clark, assistant directing Company (Barrington Stage), Speech and Debate, and the Musical Theater Conservatory at Barrington Stage (summer 2017). BA, Theater Arts, Marymount Manhattan College.
